Documents and okular

Due to a change in family responsibilities, I've had to work with a lot more documents in many more ways much more frequently than I have had to in the past. A lot of the tools and approaches are the same that I have used, but I'm using them all a lot more. Scanning, filling out forms or broader types of editing, printing, using FAX and courier services, the whole deal.

The PDF viewer evince has usually what I reach for to view and sometimes to print a PDF. But often I need more.

I decided to write this blog post after having to search around for the name of one of the programs I use to work with PDFs, okular. So, in the same vein as an earlier post about lsof and fuser, here we are.

While evince works well as a viewer, a while back I had settled into using okular for some kinds of document annotation.
