Storms, with ice

Previously I gathered some links about an idiosyncratic collection of storms that I was aware of because of some local connection, or because they had been big enough for me to hear about them when they happened even though they were remote from me.

I did not include anything about what I think of as "the original" Rochester ice storm, of 1991.

It is mentioned in passing in both the Wikipedia ice storm page and its list of ice storms, along with a reference or two, one of which is no longer available at its original location but is available in the Internet Archive. I think I have other links around here about that storm somewhere, in addition to the pictures I took in the immediate aftermath, but not close at hand just now. Maybe I'll dig those up sometime.

Also since then, Hurricane Maria infamously wiped out a good deal of Puerto Rico, which even more infamously suffered various kinds of neglect and mismanagement during its recovery. And then, last fall, Hurricane Dorian hit the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas.
